Arriving Home
Coming home is a period of integration; you'll need to integrate what you have learned abroad into your life back home.
It is not uncommon to experience some difficulty readjusting to life back home. Give yourself the time and any space you may need to re-establish things back home.
Once you're home, ensure you have sorted out any lingering financial matters you may not have been able to address before leaving. It is also important to set up any services you need once you get home.
These may include:
- Mobile phone sim/plan
- New bank account
- Health insurance
- Accommodation
Details on settling back home, how to cope if you're struggling as well as past student feedback can be found in the returning home guide.
Above all, enjoy catching up with family and friends you may not have seen for a while and go out and enjoy all of the things you missed about your hometown/country!
We wish you all the best in your career back home and look forward to welcoming you back if you ever choose to further your study or holiday back in Australia! Don't forget to keep in touch.
